It is a tagline for the idea that businesses can be started and shaped by the people who use and support them. It summarises the crowdfounding model.
Crowdfounding (noun): a new approach to starting companies — the crowd founds, funds, markets, and refines a business and its products together. Not to be confused with crowdfunding, which only raises money.
